West Coast Swing
This is also now called “Modern Swing.” It is a type of dance that is smooth and characterized by linear or slotted movement and is adaptable to many music genres. It is widely known as an improvisational dance and relies heavily on the connection between partners. Although many dancers have picked up their own techniques, it is considered arguably to be the most difficult partner dance to master.
Bachata
This is a Latin dance taking its roots from the Dominican Republic and has created a huge interest over the last decade. This partner dance evolved from a fusion of different latin dances. With pop artists slowly blending Bachata music to their repertoire, the dance has become so popular. People enjoy the dance for a variety of reasons, due to the connection it creates between partners, the music, and the enjoyment of the dance itself. It has a fun vibe to it but can also be sensual because it allows for emotional expression due to the beautiful music.
